Installing UW**AV

Installing UniMac UW**AV

Chemical Corner – Washington Automated

Chemical Signals220v ac (most machines)– Located in panel on back of machine.  On most models there are 5 chemical signals.  Use terminal labeled “common” for your supply signal common.

Pump Power -  The UW--AV (UWAVX, UWAVQ) models are wired from the factory to supply power for chemical pumps running at 220-240v ac.  Use Line 1 and Line 2 for the 220v connection.  The UWAVN and UWAVP models are NOT set up to supply chemical pump power.

Note: Attempting to obtain 110v ac power from Line 1/Line 2/ + common or ground is STRICTLY PROHIBITED!  This can cause electrical problems with the machine, as well as voiding the washer warranty.

Programming (AV Control) -  These controls are programmable.  To enter programming mode:  Open machine lid.  Locate Program/Run switch on the computer board.  Flip switch to the left (as seen from the front).  Display should read a temperature.

At this point you are going to have to hit the Programming manual.  It’s fairly easy to understand.

Programming (A-Control) -  These controls are programmable, but the options are very limited.  I don’t have very much experience with these models either.

To enter programming mode:  Open machine lid.  Locate Program/Run switch on the computer board.  Flip switch to the left (as seen from the front).  Display should read “tSFL” or temperature (depending on version of control).

When you are finished programming.  Remember flip those switches back to the right (run position).

Chemical Container – If you decide to not use the chemical cups located in the chemical container.  (Direct to the wheel.)  You should program a “wash-out” step after each chemical.  IE – Wash out the container after your chemicals pump in.  If you don’t wash out the container, the chemicals can mix inside the hose.  This can degrade the hose.  This can result in leaving black specks on the goods (hose pieces).  The hose will have to be replaced at this point.

NOTE:  Wash-Out steps should be used on ALL UniMac’s with the side chemical containers.  Not just for the AV models.
