Installing UniMac UX**PV Chemical Corner –
Chemical Signals – 220v ac – Located in panel on back of machine. The machine can be wired to signal at 24v – 220v. Refer to the installation manual pg. 43-47, for more information. Note: You will need to install jumper wires (Daisy chain) from post # 13 to all of the supply relays that you intend to use (Use odd numbers for common jumper, Even numbers are for the supply signals). Use post #13 for supply common. Note: The electrical box/supply signal box openings are metric. To use standard ˝” fittings, you must drill out the opening. (Don’t send your flames about this to me. I don’t like it either!) Pump Power - The UX models are wired from the factory to supply power for chemical pumps. Use L1 and L2 for 220v ac power. (Your pumps must be wired for 220 or have a step down transformer.) Refer to the installation manual pg. 43-47, for more information. Note: Using one leg of 220v (+ Ground or Common) to obtain 110v power for pumps is forbidden. This is out of code, and will result in the voiding of the washer warranty.
Programming - This machine programs similar to the UniMac’s of the past. If you are starting a formula from scratch, you will need to push “add step” after every step. The only other change that I can think of, is how you save the formula. In the past you could just turn the key and it would save. With this model you get the option to save at the end of each formula. Note: To signal the supply #1 post – You program supply #4. To signal the supply #2 post – You program supply #5.
Find more about programming in the Programming manual.
Note: Programming Supply #1 triggers a washout step. IE – After you have run your pumps (s4,s5) then program S1 to washout the supply manifold. (Keeps chemical from building up – causing blockage.) Chemical Manifold – Install supply tubing to the white manifold fittings. NOTE: On new machines you must drill out the fittings that you intend to use. | |||||||||||||||||||||
